A Nigerian woman, Oby Evelyn, celebrates the birth of triplets after enduring fourteen years without a child. She expressed her gratitude to God on social media, stating that He gave her triple blessings to compensate for the fourteen years of shame and mockery.
The woman, whose newborns include a boy and two girls, shared that the blessing has left her speechless.
"I am speechless. I don't know how to begin this because my mouth is full of praise. The joy is unbeatable. In fact, nothing beats this moment," she wrote.
"God has given me triple for my shame and mockery after 14 solid years of marriage.
"My God of the 11th hour has blessed me with a prince and two princesses.
"My testimony is a dream come true. Thank you, my great God!!! Latest mama ejima ito."
Triplets are significantly less common than twins, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. They account for only about 4,300 sets in 3.9 million births, just a little more than 0.1%, or 1 in 1,000.
