At the age of 23, Montoya Major is set to graduate from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on August 16th. Her achievement is particularly noteworthy as she successfully pursued her educational goals while navigating the challenges of having her twins with her throughout the journey.
Expressing her joy and sense of accomplishment on Facebook, Major revealed that she almost gave up when she found out she was five months pregnant in 2017, the same year she began her studies at Nova Southeastern University.
“I genuinely almost gave up! The Devil really had me,” Major shared on her Facebook page, emphasizing that the journey she went through was beyond anything she could have anticipated. She pointed out that the program initially started with 26 individuals, and now only 17 of them are set to graduate.
Major went on to describe the additional stress she faced when she learned about her pregnancy. Her program director suggested that she consider forfeiting the program in 2017 and return in 2018 to complete her degree. Despite the daunting prospect of finishing her studies with two infants by her side, Major persevered.
“I went to class every day, literally until the day I gave birth to my two girls, and honestly, I was determined to finish,” she added.
In May 2018, Major's determination culminated in the birth of two adorable twins through ᴄ-sᴇᴄᴛɪᴏɴ. Her unwavering commitment to her education truly deserves recognition and applause!
